Welcome to Valley Wools
Hi, my name is Janet and I am the owner of Valley Wools, an independent yarn shop nestled in the heart of South Wales.
With the help of my Hubby and daughters we established an online store in 2007 and eventually opened a shop on the Glynneath High Street in 2017 (near Neath and the Brecon National Park).
Our aim is to stock beautiful, natural and sustainable range of wools and yarns and to helping knitters, crocheters, and needle crafters of every skill level find their perfect materials.
Our Story
What started as a passion for crafting and natural fibres has grown into a carefully selected collection of yarns, needles, hooks, patterns, and kits.
Every product in our shop has been chosen for its quality, feel, and suitability for real projects — from cosy weekend knits to intricate embroidery pieces.
We aim to inspire and support every maker — with the finest yarns, the right tools, and the knowledge to bring their creative vision to life.
Our Selection
Every yarn, needle, hook, and kit in our shop has been chosen because we'd happily use it
ourselves.
We favour natural fibres - wool, alpaca, cotton — that feel wonderful to work with and stand the test of time.
Our range spans everything from everyday knitting yarns to threads and embroidery supplies, so whether you're casting on a jumper, crocheting a blanket or embroidering a future heirloom, we've got you covered.
